ABOUT

I have a degree in Photography, a Masters degree in Aesthetics & Art Theory and a second Masters degree in Art History.

My first job in the picture library world was as a keyworder at Photonica (a subsidiary of Amana Images, one of the largest visual solutions companies in Asia) and I took to keywording like a fish to water. I later worked at Katz and Camera Press before becoming Head of Metadata at Amana Productions where my responsibilities included the management and development of the English thesaurus, outsourcing, quality assurance and keywording.

I have been an independent metadata and keywording specialist consulting with stock libraries, the cultural heritage sector and individuals alike since January 2007. I also have an advisory role with the IPTC Photo Metadata Working Group.
